An artist has three love affairs at the same time until a war erupts.

With an apparent attitude of the-more-the-merrier, an artist working at a remote army post tries to keep track of his romantic entanglements with an Indian Chief’s daughter, a storekeeper’s daughter and his fiancé who has just arrived from the East. These problems pale when a war erupts between the army and the Indian tribe, incited by an angry local.

Originally made for TV, this second Over the Hill Gang misadventure follows Walter Brennan, Edgar Buchanan, Chill Wills and Andy Devine through the Old West. Out to rescue their friend the Baltimore Kid (Fred Astaire), the Gang encounters old foes, old friends, and plenty of new comic action. This time the gang must face corruption in their own home town. The gang put their heads together to clean up their town, take back the rule of law and rehabilitate the town lush (played by Fred Astaire) along with way.
